Kintsugi Trauma Workshop

Through our journey in life, many of us are touched by painful events such as loss, trauma and grief.  These incidents and painful times often leave imprints on our lives and forever impact our core selves.  We can be left in disarray as we attempt to move on and cope.  Sometimes we hide or bury our painful feelings, and often those times of loss and trauma can leave us feeling “broken” or “cracked.” This experiential workshop utilizes a meditative process through a tangible medium to help develop resiliency and healing in the face of loss and trauma. The Kintsugi Bowl is an ancient Japanese practice that serves to join back together that which was once broken, while showcasing the breaks and honouring the process and our own journeys in life.  Through this practice we will endeavor to find healing through “golden rejoining” and find beauty and appreciation for what was once thought of as broken.
